    Provide First Aid

    Provide First Aid (Includes CPR)

    • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid — a nationally recognised certification
    • Includes CPR (HLTAID009) and basic emergency life support training
    • Blended delivery with self-paced online learning and face-to-face practical assessment
    • Covers assessment and management of emergencies, CPR, wounds, fractures and more
    • Develops skills to manage first aid incidents until medical assistance arrives
    • Minimum age requirement of 14 years
    • Certification valid for 3 years (with CPR renewal recommended annually)

    Delivery: e-Learning plus face-to-face classroom training and assessment

    Duration: This is a blended course with self-paced online learning (e-Learning) and face-to-face training. Before attending the face-to-face training, students will need to complete their e-Learning which can be done in one sitting or over several sessions. Depending on the student's learning ability, they should allow up to 6 hours for reading and e-Learning. Face-to-face training and assessment takes 4 hours in a classroom environment.

    Assessment: Written, practical and scenario-based assessment

    Certificate: A PDF Statement of Attainment in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid will be emailed to you the same day as your successful completion of the training and assessment (and provided that student has provided a verified USI and completed all required assessment for the course). Safe Work Australia recommends renewing HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification every 12 months. Current industry standards recommend renewing this certification every 3 years with the CPR component being updated every 12 months. Australia Wide First Aid is a Registered Training Organisation No. 31961.

    Renewal: Renew every 3 years
