Public, read-only access to Australia Wide First Aid's courses, venues, sessions and FAQs: a REST agent API, an MCP server, an A2A agent and NLWeb, all answering from the same data. No API key needed.
Quickstart
Every example runs as written against the live site.
List every bookable course
curl https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/agent/courses
Find CPR sessions near a postcode
curl 'https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/agent/nearby-sessions?course=cpr&near=4510'
Initialise the MCP server
curl -X POST https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/mcp -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -H 'Accept: application/json, text/event-stream' -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"initialize","params":{"protocolVersion":"2025-06-18","capabilities":{},"clientInfo":{"name":"quickstart","version":"1.0"}}}'
Read the A2A agent card
curl https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/.well-known/agent-card.json
Ask a question in plain words
curl 'https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/ask?query=first+aid+brisbane'
To use the MCP server in an assistant, add https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/mcp as a custom connector (Streamable HTTP, no sign-in).
API keys
There are no API keys, and you don't need one. Every surface here is public and read-only: no account, sign-up or registration. See auth.md.
Sandbox
There is no sandbox or test mode. Every read is side-effect-free and safe to call against production while you build and test. Booking is always the person's own action on the enrolment site, where they enter their own details and pay, so an agent never makes a booking to test.
Resources
- REST agent API: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/agent/courses: read-only JSON from server-side code: courses, venues, sessions by venue and date or near a place, and FAQs, under https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/agent/.
- OpenAPI description: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/agent/openapi.json: the full agent API as OpenAPI, for generating a client or tool definitions.
- API documentation: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/agent/docs: the agent API described for people, with every endpoint, parameter and error.
- API catalog: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/.well-known/api-catalog: the RFC 9727 linkset naming the agent API and the MCP server, for discovery.
- MCP server card: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/mcp/server-card (endpoint
https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/mcp): the public MCP server (Streamable HTTP, POST only, no sign-in), for an assistant: the agent API's reads plus start_booking, which returns a link the person opens to book. - MCP manifest: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/.well-known/mcp.json: names the MCP server and its card for discovery.
- A2A agent card: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/.well-known/agent-card.json (endpoint
https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/a2a): the read-only A2A agent (JSON-RPC, POST only), for another agent: send a data part naming a skill; free text isn't interpreted. - Agent Skills index: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json: the Agent Skills discovery index, whose skill walks an agent through choosing a course, finding a session and handing off the booking.
- ARD catalog: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/.well-known/ard.json: the Agentic Resource Discovery catalog of the agent API, the MCP server, the A2A agent and the skills index, with each document's SHA-256.
- auth.md: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/auth.md: how agents access the site: no credentials, API key, account or registration.
- NLWeb ask: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/ask?query=first+aid+brisbane (endpoint
https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/ask): one question in plain words, by GET ?query= or POST JSON: schema.org courses, venues, sessions and FAQs, matched deterministically (no language model; dates aren't understood). - llms.txt: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/llms.txt: the site's curated index for language models.
- Developers llms.txt: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/developers/llms.txt: this page's resources as an llms.txt file.
- Agent guide: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/agents.md: when to use this site, which surface to pick and what an agent must not do for a person.
- WebMCP tools: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/: in a browser, every page of the site offers WebMCP tools for finding courses and sessions and starting a booking in the person's own tab.
- Markdown twins: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com/developers.md: every page has a Markdown version: request it with Accept: text/markdown, append .md to its URL (/index.md for the home page), or add ?mode=agent. This link is this page's.
Booking
- Agents must not enter payment or card details for a person. The person enters their own details and pays on the enrolment site.
- Each booking handoff, start_booking or a session's booking_page, is for one seat. For several people, hand off once for each person.
- Group and workplace training is arranged through an enquiry, not the public booking. Send groups and workplaces to workplace training.
Limits and terms
Every surface is free, with no paid tier or plan. Please cache responses as their Cache-Control headers allow, and keep your request rate modest.
Use of the site is covered by the terms and conditions and the privacy policy. Course prices are on the pricing page.
